Secretary Todd Ishee, North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections, named as the New Chair for CLA Staff Wellness Committee.


Correctional Leaders Association (CLA) is proud to announce that Secretary Todd Ishee, has been appointed as the new Chair of CLA’S  Staff Wellness Committee.

CLA is a professional association for correctional leaders throughout the United States, committed to promoting best practices, leadership development, and staff wellness in the field of corrections. As the Chair of the Staff Wellness Committee, Secretary Ishee will play a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission to improve the health and well-being of correctional staff nationwide.

“I am honored to have been selected as the new Chair of the CLA Staff Wellness Committee,” said Secretary Ishee. “As someone who has worked in corrections for many years, I am acutely aware of the challenges faced by correctional staff and the critical importance of staff wellness. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the committee to develop strategies and programs that promote wellness and resiliency among correctional staff.”

Secretary Ishee brings a wealth of experience to the role of Chair, having served over 31 years in corrections. Throughout his career, he has been a champion for staff wellness, recognizing that the physical and mental health of correctional staff is crucial to maintaining a safe and secure correctional environment.

The CLA Staff Wellness Committee is comprised of correctional leaders from across the country, who will work together to develop and implement initiatives that promote staff wellness and resiliency. The Committee will focus on strategies for addressing issues such as stress, burnout, and trauma among correctional staff, as well as ways to support staff in their personal and professional lives.
