Christopher Nichols Head Of Marine Corps Corrections Announces Retirement

It is with mixed emotions that we share the retirement announcement of Christopher Nichols, Head of Marines Corps Corrections. While we are saddened to see him go, we are also excited for the next chapter of his journey. Chris has been an integral part of the CLA family for several years, and we cannot express our gratitude enough for the immense contributions he has made during his time with us. He has been a true leader, inspiring us with his dedication, professionalism, and passion for the field of corrections.

 A message from Chris:

I cannot express my gratitude and humbleness enough for having had the privilege these last few years to be a part of the CLA family. I can't think of any association that does it better and maintains an "intimate" feel throughout the association. Although military corrections is slightly different, it was amazing to see the commonalities amongst all the agencies; the good and the bad, and more importantly, the willingness of everyone to share their experiences of what has worked well… or not so well. I always enjoyed the conferences, the gatherings, and the professional/personal connections made. The CLA staff is nothing short of exemplary and the members are true "giants" in the field; I soaked up every moment. I learned an immense amount through the staff, members, and partners - none of us are smarter than all of us! I will be retiring after 21 years in Marine Corps corrections and I am elated to announce that I will be joining Commissioner Mici's team with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections this summer.

Please stay in touch and hope to see you all in the future!

Semper Fidelis!

Chris
